As of May 23, Canada Post is still operating, and orders are still being delivered — but there are a few important things to know.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has initiated a nationwide overtime ban, meaning postal workers are refusing to work beyond 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. While this is not a full strike, it may result in delivery delays, especially for lettermail and untracked shipments.
At Moontime Apothecary, I’m continuing to ship orders as usual via Canada Post. However, if you need your order urgently — for example, to have Cramp Tea or Slow Flow Tea on hand for when your cycle begins — you’ll now see alternate carrier options available at checkout. These options may come with a higher fee but will likely be faster.
If the situation escalates to a full strike or further disruptions, I’ll update this post and notify my community right away.
Thanks for your patience and for continuing to support small business during uncertain times. 💛
With care,
Robyn
